Homer is known for its love of food.  Since the majority of our food is still coming up the highways and waterways through Canada, our food security depends on us continuing to grow more and more of our own food.  We have a good start here in Homer with great restaurants, a thriving Homer Farmers Market, CSAs, the local Kenai Peninsula Food Hub, and more people taking advantage of the high tunnel cost share program through NRCS/USDA than anywhere in the country.  We grow it, eat it, and buy it here. Read on to learn more about our local food enthusiasts.

Live thoughtfully.
