It is often said state-wide, “You can do that because you’re in Homer.” Our reputation of working together, helping each other and sharing is one of our greatest strengths. When hard times hit, it is community that matters most.

We have already identified different ways to thrive as a community together with a focus on local systems rather than dependence on Outside.  We have a strong thread of entrepreneurs who keep our local economy vibrant, non-profits who create opportunities for more community connection, support and activities, and clubs that unite around common interests to share resources and fun.

What more could we want?

Live thoughtfully.
